A knee injury suffered in Sunday’s win against the Bills will end the season of Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the knee injury suffered by Mayo is “bad.”
Mayo was carted off the field during the second quarter of Sunday’s game.

The Patriots will use Jamie Collins, Dont’a Hightower, and Deontae Skinnerat inside linebacker with Mayo out. Week 6 has proven to be problematic for Mayo who has now suffered season ending injuries during it in back to back seasons.
Mayo carries a $10.6 million cap number for 2015.
