Brett Keisel says Steelers need defensive change now

The Steelers defense have face some problems defending the run game to start the season.

In the first two games of the season the Steelers have allowed 183 yards to the Browns and 157 to the Ravens.

Speaking with reporters, defensive end Brett Keisel said that the way the team was playing on defense was frustrating but acknowledged that there was no quick fix.

“It’s going to take some time unfortunately, but we don’t have time,” said Keisel via Steelers.com. “We don’t have time for this to be a natural progression. It needs to happen now, it needed to happen yesterday. When we come in to work you have to be focused on your job and make sure when you are out there practicing you are executing your job.”

Keisel re-signed with the Steelers in late August and said that while the team was struggling it was still fun to be out on the field.

“You have to work on the little things,” said Keisel. “It’s getting back to the basic fundamentals of football that sometimes as a pro you might get away from. We have to address those things more.”
