Mark Sanchez trade unlikely for Rams

With Sam Bradford lost for the season with a re-torn ACL the St. Louis Rams are in a tough position to start the season.

Some quickly labeled Mark Sanchez as a potential trade target for the Rams but such a trade is unlikely because of the high regard the Eagles have for him.

The Eagles are comfortable with Sanchez and expecting his relationship with current Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to improve is simply wishful thinking.

Sanchez has completed an impressive 80.6-percent of his passes with two touchdowns this preseason.

For now the Rams have 34-year-old Shaun Hill tabbed to start the season.

Hill has 36 career starts to go with a lifetime 61.9 completion percentage, 6.7 YPA and 41:23 TD:INT ratio. He is 13-13 in his career as a starter.

Third year Austin Davis is listed as the backup behind Hill.
