Former NFL wide receiver Reche Caldwell has been arrested on drug charges in Florida. Caldwell was arrested on Tuesday with the possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute according to a report from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Back in January Caldwell was arrested and charged with running an illegal gambling operation.
Caldwell was arrested at 12:46 p.m. Tuesday in Tampa and booked later in the evening. He has been charged with a third degree felony.
Caldwell was caught with five pounds of MDMA (ecstasy pills) which carry a value of $179,000 according to TMZ.
In a six-year NFL career Caldwell played for  the San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots and Washington Redskins catching 152 passes for 1,851 yards and 11 touchdowns.
