The Oakland Raiders have re-signed running back Darren McFadden to a one-year contract.

McFadden, 26, will make $4 million in 2014. His production has tanked in the last two seasons as he has averaged just 3.3 yards per carry. Last season he finished with 379 yards rushing across 10 games with five touchdowns. McFadden’s injury history is another concern but the Raiders are simply hoping he reclaims the form he had prior to the 2012 season.

With McFadden’s return to the Raiders, came the departure of Rashad Jennings.

Jennings tweeted out that he was headed to New York to sign with the Giants.

In New York, Jennings will provide insurance for David Wilson. The Giants simply outbidded the Raiders here.

Jennings. 28, finished last season with a 4.5 yards per carry for 744 yards and six touchdowns.
