Ravens offensive lineman arrested and charged with battery

Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Jah Reid was arrested and charged with two misdemeanor battery counts following an altercation at a bar early Sunday morning in Key West, Fla., according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Key West police department.

Reid and another man got into a fight at the Red Garter Saloon  reports the Baltimore Sun. Police were called t the scene and reviewed surveillance video. Reid allegedly can be seen head-buting the other man and then punching and kicking him.

Reid also punched security causing a split lip to one.

A security officer used a Taser on the other man, identified as Benjamin Buxton. Both were charged with two misdemeanor counts of battery and released on $2,000 bonds Sunday, according to jail records.

Reid appeared in 10 games last season.

Reid is the third Ravens player to be arrested in 22 days. Running back Ray Rice was arrested for simple assault on Feb. 15, and backup wide receiver Deonte Thompson was arrested for possession of marijuana on Feb. 21.
