The San Diego Chargers have cut fullback Le’Ron McClain.
McClain, 29, saw his playing time disappear with Mike McCoy taking over as the head coach of the Chargers.

San Diego will save $2.5 million against the salary cap with the move. McClain was set to make $3 million this season. He should have no problem finding a job on the open market but considering the small useage of fullbacks in the NFL his salary is not going to reach $3 million.
