The Dallas Cowboys are set to sign veteran quarterback Mike Kafka.
Kafka, 26, appeared in four games for the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2011 regular season. The Cowboys do not have a need for Kafka, other than an arm to throw some footballs while Tony Romo rehabs.
Look for the Cows to sign QB Mike Kafka on Fri, per source; they at least need a qb to get through the offseason program with Romo rehabbing

At worst the Cowboys will have Kafka on their radar if the need should arise for a backup late in the season. It’s safe to say that the playing days of Jon Kitna are over.
