CBS to carry first eight Thursday night games of 2014 season

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Press Conference
Fans who have been left out of viewing Thursday night games will be happy to hear that CBS has partnered with the NFL to carry the first eight Thursday night games of 2014.

“NFL Network built Thursday into a night for NFL fans,” commissioner Roger Goodell said. “Our goal is to bring these games to more fans on broadcast television with unprecedented promotion and visibility for ‘Thursday Night Football’ on CBS.”

These eight games will be simulcast on NFL Network. The NFL Network will then exclusively broadcast the final four Thursday games as well as two Saturday night games.

Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will be calling all 16 games.
