The New York Jet and head coach Rex Ryan have agreed to a multi-year extension.
Ryan had one-year and $3 million left on a deal which had been reworked in 2010. The new deal will keep him in New York though at least the 2016 season according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

In give seasons with the Jets, Ryan owns a 42-38 career record including an 8-8 record in 2013 with rookie quarterback Geno Smith under center.
Of course Ryan promised a Super Bowl when he arrived in New York and after back-to-back trips to the AFC Championship game has failed to get over the .500 mark.
