The status of Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews for Week 17 is questionable at best.
Matthews suffered what Packers head coach Mike McCarthy deemed a repeat thumb injury in Sunday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“I couldn’t give you a time line but I think based off the history of what happened the first time, I’m told it’s similar to the repeat injury,” said McCarthy, via Post Gazette.
Matthews has 41 tackles, 7½ sacks and three forced fumbles in 11 games this season.
