Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson will be playing in the Week 16 match-up against the New York Giants.
There had been some concern early Sunday that Johnson would not play due to a knee injury but the veteran wide receiver was not listed with the inactive for the Lions.
Once the Lions seemed on their way to winning their division but that is hardly a guarantee anymore. At 7-7 the Lions need to win out and get some help with losses by the Packers and Bears if they are to win the NFC North.

In 13 games this season Johnson has 81 catches for 1449 yards and 12 touchdowns.
