St. Louis Rams QB Bradford suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s Week 7 loss to Carolina. Bradford underwent an MRI that confirmed the teams speculation Sunday evening. Bradford is done for the season, and will be placed on injured reserve this week.
The Rams are going to have to think long and hard about using an early-round draft pick on a quarterback in next May’s draft with Bradford coming off a torn ACL and no lock to be back with the organization in 2014. Bradford is owed $14.015 million base salary, none of which is guaranteed.
Bradford was shoved from behind as he was running out of bounds, he immediately collapsed in pain, and could put no weight on his left leg. He was helped to a cart and then whisked to the locker room.
Bradford finished his day 21-of-30 for 255 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. The Rams are planning to work out several quarterbacks on Monday, but Kellen Clemens is expected to be the Week 8 starter.
According to Mike Silva, the Rams were discussing signing Tim Tebow to replace Bradford, but also said that actually signing him is “highly unlikely.”

Tebow talk shouldn’t be a complete surprise as the Rams were one of the teams that inquired about trading for Tebow in 2012 before the Denver Broncos dealt him to the New York Jets.
