Mark Sanchez entered Saturday nights preseason game in the fourth quarter and was sacked three times before exiting with a shoulder injury.
Sanchez had been competing with Geno Smith for the starting quarterback job of the Jets.

Smith may be named the quarterback for Week 1 because Sanchez may be unavailable. During his time in the game Smith threw three interceptions with the Jets first team offense.
