Robert Griffin III is beginning to get more work at training camp. The Washington Redskins quarterback took 16 or 17 snaps according to head coach Mike Shanahan.

Griffin, 23, has been participating in 7-on-7 drills while the coach has kept him out of 11-on-11 drills thus far. (Associated Press)

When Redskins camp started Griffin was taking just eight snaps a day so this is massive improvement and is further proof that he is well on his way back from reconstructive knee surgery.

Griffin threw for 3,200 yards and 20 touchdowns in his rookie season. He added another 815 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.
