The New Orleans Saints (6-8) will play against the Dallas Cowboys (8-6) on Sunday afternoon. Scheduled for a 1 pm EST kickoff this game will air on FOX from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX.

New Orleans has been an up and down team all season without suspended head coach Sean Payton. A fair amount of the talk regarding this game is centered around his contract status for next season. Some have speculated that the Cowboys could make a play for Payton, though the Saints believe he will be their coach next season. Dallas is currently in a three way tie for the top spot in the NFC North after winning their last three.

What is the point spread in the Saints and Cowboys game? The Cowboys are favored in this one but different betting sites have different lines. Some places have the Cowboys a 1 point favorite against the Saints, others have them listed as a 3 point favorite. The over/under for this game is also split at 51.5 or 52 points.

The Saints have not proven that they can stop anyone with the pass or the run. Dallas has not run the ball effectively this season, even with the return of DeMarco Murray. The Cowboys have seen their offensive unit began to peak with a connection of Tony Romo to Dez Bryant. Bryant is still dealing with a figure injury of his dominant, left, hand. Bryant has scored a touchdown in his last six games.

Saints quarterback, Drew Brees leads the NFL in touchdown passes (36) and passing yards, needing 665 yards for a third career campaign with 5,000. He’ll be up against a secondary that features cornerback Brandon Carr, who has interceptions each of the last two games including one in overtime last Sunday that set up Dan Bailey’s winning kick.

Can the Cowboys win and make their Week 17 game against Washington meaningful? Or, Will the Saints march into Dallas and knock the Cowboys off their high horse?
