NFL will provide benefits for Jovan Belcher’s daughter


Jovan Belcher shot and killed his girlfriend Kassandra Perkins on Saturday before going to the Kansas City Chiefs stadium and killing himself – but he left something very important behind.

His three month old daughter, with no parents.

He said that according to the leagues collective bargaining agreement that the payments would equal $108,000 a year for the first four years, $48,000 the next year and then $52,000 each year until she turns 18 – or 23 if she goes to college.

Belcher, a fourth-year linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs.
