Colts Cheerleader to shave head for cancer research

The Indianapolis Colts mascot challenged a cheerleader to shave her head if he could raise $10,000 for cancer research.

One cheerleader has taken up the challenge, Megan M. If the money is raised she will join the likes of  thirty-plus players on the team who have already shaved their heads.

“@BlueColtsMascot count me in! I’ll do it I’m #ColtStrong” tweeted Megan on Sunday.

She has since tweeted about #OperationShaveMegansHead.

The Colts have been raising money and awareness for cancer after head coach Chuck Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this season. Pagano has underwent chemotherapy and was recently released from an Indianapolis hospital.

During the Colts last home game Pagano was in attendance and gave an emotional post game speech. Bruce Arians, who has served as the interim coach, says that Pagano will return to the sidelines prior to the Colts season finale.

Megan M is in her second season with the Colts cheerleading squad. According to the teams website she is an Occupational Therapist from Auburn, Indiana.

One has to wonder how many of her fellow cheerleaders may choose to go along with this?

Since I know you are wondering we went ahead and provided a few additional photos of Megan M below.
