\nPolice in Knoxville are investing reports that two University of Tennessee football players raped and sexually assaulted two women in off-campus housing.<\/p>\n

Since the players have not been charged police had declined to publicly release their names, however the Tennessean<\/a> reports that they are linebacker A.J. Johnson and defensive back Michael Williams.<\/p>\n

At a regularly scheduled news conference, coach Butch Jones said that the school was in the process of gathering information adding \u201cwe will act in a decisive manner.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to be right, rather than fast,\u201d Jones said.<\/p>\n

The incidents allegedly occurred Sunday morning around 3 am. A 19-year-old was is a current University of Tennessee student told police she was raped by two male students. A second 19-year-old told police she was the victim of a sexual assault.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
