Former South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia alleges that he saw players being paid regularly prior to his dismissal from the school in 2011.<\/p>\n

“I saw it all day, every day to be honest with you. I wish they came to me, but they thought of me as some rich white kid so I didn’t really get benefits from that.” said during a\u00a0radio interview on WFNZ in Charlotte. “I’m just being honest with you. I saw it firsthand with a lot of players and talking with other guys. You know I’m friends with a lot of players from around the SEC, and talking with them, it makes the Todd Gurley thing seem insignificant by a long shot.”<\/p>\n

When asked about how much he hard that players could receive Garcia said “$160,000 for one season”\u00a0of autographs.<\/p>\n

In 2011 Garcia was suspended for violating team rules. He would briefly return tot he team. After playing in five games, Garcia was then kicked off of the South Carolina football team after failing to meet agreed-upon guidelines established by the team as a condition of his reinstatement.<\/p>\n
