The Ohio State Buckeyes scored 21 straight points to upset the Oregon Ducks in the National Championship game.
One of the biggest keys to the win for the Buckeyes was the offensive output of running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Elliott rumbled though the Oregon defense four times to find the endzone. In total he had 36 carries for 246 yards.
The final play of the game was a interception thrown by Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota. Bummer way to end your college career but alas its off to the NFL Draft where he could go No. 1 overall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Let’s go ahead and see that Mariota sad face.
The championship is the third in the career of Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer. He previously won National Champions at Florida in 2006 and 2008.
Final score: Ohio State 41 Oregon 20
