Oklahoma Sooners head coach Bob Stoops could be ready to make the jump to the NFL.
Stoops has spent the last 15 seasons at Oklahoma compiling a 159-39 record but has been unable to get his Sooners back to a National Championship game in recent years.
NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports Stoops is “open” to making the leap to the NFL.
Perhaps the success of Chip Kelly, Jim Harbaugh and Pete Carroll has had Stoops warm up to the idea.
Stoops has an annual salary of $4.7 million at OU.
