The Baylor Bears will not have to worry about their quarterback situation next season as Bryce Petty plans to return for his senior season.

“I will definitely be back next year,” Petty told KWTX-TV in Waco, Texas, on Wednesday.

Petty has kept Baylor as an offensive juggernaut throwing for 28 touchdown passes to just two interceptions and trailing only Florida State’s Jameis Winston in passing efficiency.

With Petty under center, No. 9 Baylor (10-1) leads the nation with 635.1 yards per game and 55.4 points per game. They close their season against Texas. (8-3)

With Petty and Oregon’s Marcus Mariota both choosing to return to school next season, next years quarterback class is looking pretty nice.
