The Oregon Ducks will be among the favorites to win the national championship next season with the announcement that Marcus Mariota will return for the 2014 season.
Mariota has decided to stay in school and forego the 2014 NFL Draft.
Expected to be a first round pick, Mariota was a leading candidate for the Heisman Trophy prior to a No. 7 loss to Oregon.
Marcus Mariota's decision not about Heisman or draft stock or this QB class. Guy loves college and wants degree. Think Andrew Luck.

Mariota threw for a career-high 3,412 yards, and added 30 touchdowns and ran for 582 yards and nine touchdowns on 7.2 yards per carry.
It will be interesting to see how things shake out for Mariota with his decision to stay in school.
