Eastern Michigan football player found shot to death



Demarius Reed, a football player for Eastern Michigan University, was found dead early Friday.

Authorities have launched an off-campus homicide investigation after the junior wide receiver was found shot to death.

Reed had started all six games this season as a junior.  He was fourth on the team with 15 receptions for 189 yards.

Ypsilanti Police Sgt. Thomas Eberts tells the Ann Arbor News that a man’s body was found in the hallway of an apartment complex about 7:15 a.m. by his roommate. The victim appeared to have been shot to death.
