The Denver Nuggets broke to news the media earlier today that starting center JaVale McGee will be out indefinitely with a stress fracture in his lower tibia. JaVale has been bothered by the stress fracture over the last few weeks and happened to re-injure it during Saturday night’s game.

Timofey Mosgov is expected to be the start at center for the Nuggets during McGee’s absence. J.J. Hickson also could see increased minutes according to head coach Brian Shaw.

The Nuggets are off to a 1-4 start after losing George Karl in the offseason. This is not the news the team was looking for this early in the season.
