Ambrose could have slid over to the #9 car with Bobby Labonte taking his place in the #47 however Tad Geschickter the owner of the #47 refused a request by Ambrose for an early release.<\/p>\n<p>Geschickter cited sponsor and promotional obligations prevented him from being able to grant Ambrose&#8217;s request.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our  plan at this point is to finish out the year,&#8221; said Geschickter, who has  hired 2000 Sprint Cup champion Bobby  Labonte to replace Ambrose in the #47 next year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With Kasey Kahne&#8217;s recent release from Richard Petty Motorsports it was easy to see how a potential trickle effect could happen.
