Scott plans to keep the organization\u2019s core intact, with Nick Harrison remaining as crew chief on the No. 51 car, and Finch filling the role of \u201cchairman emeritus.\u201d Phoenix will also maintain its ties with Hendrick Motorsports, from which it obtains engines, as does Turner Scott.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Allgaier, a mainstay at the Nationwide team that Scott owns with Steve Turner, will compete at Chicagoland, Charlotte and Talladega.<\/p>\n<p>Scott says that the plan for Phoenix Racing is to remain a one car team, unlinked to his Natonwide program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSteve had an opportunity to participate in the Phoenix deal, and he declined because of all his other business obligations. But by the same token, when I came into Turner Motorsports, he had already paid his dues and gotten it to that point. If he were to come to me if we were to be successful and he decided he wanted to be a part of it one day, I\u2019d definitely welcome that. But at this point, there is absolutely no plan for that. They\u2019ll be two separate organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>LABONTE OUT OF 51:<\/strong> <a title=\"Bobby Labonte to miss Atlanta with broken ribs\" href=\"http:\/\/tireball.com\/nascar\/2013\/08\/29\/bobby-labonte-to-miss-atlanta-with-broken-ribs\/\">Former champ breaks ribs, replaced by Mike Bliss<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Scott believes that the team has enough funding to finish out the 2013 season and parts of the next two seasons. The only known sponsorship for the team this season comes in the form of BRANDT who will sponsor the three races which feature Allgaier in the car.<\/p>\n<p>A three time winner in the Nationwide Series, the race at Chicagoland will be the first for Allgaier in the Sprint Cup Series.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwenty-two years of racing have come down to this point. That was the goal when I started, and it\u2019s great because I know it\u2019s not just one race, it\u2019s three races, and hopefully that goes well and can lead to bigger and better things.
