Ryan, the younger brother of Sprint Cup regular Martin Truex, will be driving the No. 51 Chevrolet of Phoenix Racing.<\/p>\n<p>The younger Truex is currently signed to a developmental contract with Richard Petty Motorsports. RPM is looking for sponsorship to allow him to race later this season.<\/p>\n<div id=\"stcpDiv\">In his career, Truex made 35 Nationwide, three truck and 22 K&amp;N East starts.\u00a0 He&#8217;s won Championships in every full season of competition.\u00a0 He won the K&amp;N Series East Championship back-to-back in 2009 and 2010.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;I&#8217;m excited to make my NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at Bristol,&#8221; said Truex.\u00a0 &#8220;It has been tough waiting on the sidelines while I healed from my collarbone injury, but now I am ready to go and make my Sprint Cup Series debut.\u00a0 It&#8217;s pretty awesome that it&#8217;s coming at Bristol at the night race.\u00a0 This is a premier race on the Sprint Cup circuit.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;To have Richard Petty Motorsports and Phoenix Racing support me in this endeavor really means a lot,&#8221; continued Truex.\u00a0 &#8220;I&#8217;m excited for the rest of this year and my future with RPM.&#8221;<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ryan Truex will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup debut at Bristol Motor Speedway for Saturday nights Irwin Tools 500.
