Sunday was likely Mark Martin, driver of the No. 55 Aaron’s Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing’s last race for the team. Martin, who shared a ride with Brian Vickers this season is currently without a ride for 2014 as Vicker’s moves over to assume the No. 55 full time.<\/p>\n

According to sources<\/a>, Stewart-Haas Racing has worked to finalize a deal that would put Martin in the No. 14 Chevrolet for the injured Tony Stewart for most, if not the rest of, the season, beginning Saturday night at Bristol<\/p>\n

Stewart is out indefinitely after breaking his leg in a sprint car crash on Aug. 5. Max Papis was behind the wheel in the No. 14 at Watkins Glen, and Austin Dillon drove the car at Michigan this past weekend.<\/p>\n

Martin likely would drive in every race Stewart misses except for Talladega.\u00a0 Dillon would likely fill in for that race.<\/p>\n

An announcement is set for Monday afternoon, barring a last-minute objection from Aaron’s.<\/p>\n

Vickers is expected to pick up most – if not all – of the races that Martin was to drive in the No. 55 for the rest of the 2013 season.<\/p>\n
