Jimmie Johnson dominated the race cruising to his third victory of the season. Below is our take on winners and losers from the 2.5 mile track.

Winners:

Jimmie Johnson

Jimmie Johnson won his third race of the year. He didn’t just win at Pocono – he dominated. The win cushions Johnson’s point lead, remember, once the Chase starts – drivers are awarded bonus points for each win. Johnson and Matt Kenseth are tied with three. Johnson’s point lead is by 51 points.

Stewart Haas Racing

Both Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman had great finishes at Pocono finishing 4th and 5th respectively. Stewart moved up to 13th from 16th in the standings, while Newman went from 20th to 18th.

RELATED: Johnson holds points lead | Dale Jr driving Superman car | Trevor Bayne wedding pictures

Greg Biffle

Greg Biffle had a car to beat, and if the race had a few more laps – Biffle might have had something for Johnson. The race was a snooze fest and there isn’t much more to say about it. Another race where Johnson dominated at a track that cars play follow the leader at.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. went from 16th in the point standings to 20th. We really are not expecting much out of Rookie of the Year contendor, Stenhouse Jr. in his first Cup year – but not to go backwords in the points at this point in the season.

TNT

It was the first race of the season broadcast on TNT instead of FOX. I think many fans are asking – was it the last race? That answer is no and race fans will have to endure the crazy amounts of commercials and annoying ads for a few more weeks.
