Gordon is making his 700th consecutive start in NASCAR&#8217;s premier series on Saturday at Darlington for the Bojangles Southern 500.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the first time the Gen 6 race car sees the 1.366 mile South Carolina track that many drivers dub, &#8220;The Lady in Black&#8221; and &#8220;To Tough to Tame.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The new car adds a new twist to an old favorite.<\/p>\n<p>The four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion comprehends the milestone, but does not focus on it. &#8220;I&#8217;ve been fortunate to race this long and have the type of career I&#8217;ve had,&#8221; said Gordon. &#8220;It&#8217;s really cool to see that this will be my 700th start, but it&#8217;s not something I really paid attention to.
