{"id":3151,"date":"2012-08-26T13:49:34","date_gmt":"2012-08-26T17:49:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tireball.com\/?p=3151"},"modified":"2012-08-26T13:49:34","modified_gmt":"2012-08-26T17:49:34","slug":"kurt-busch-teaming-up-with-finch-ballew-to-run-atlanta-truck-race","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/tireball.com\/nascar\/2012\/08\/26\/kurt-busch-teaming-up-with-finch-ballew-to-run-atlanta-truck-race\/","title":{"rendered":"Kurt Busch Teaming Up with Finch-Ballew to Run Atlanta Truck Race"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kurt Busch will be driving the No.51 Chevrolet in a joint venture between Billy Ballew Motorsports and Phoenix Racing this weekend for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www4.pictures.zimbio.com\/gi\/Kurt+Busch+Watkins+Glen+International+Day+wwvM-JjOeuYl.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"322\" height=\"214\" \/>The truck is an 11-time winner in recent seasons with drivers Kyle Busch, Shane Hmiel and Aric Almirola at the wheel.<\/p>\n<p>The truck was most recently campaigned by Vision Aviation Racing in 2011, before that team closed its doors.<\/p>\n<p>They took the truck and re-skinned it as a Chevrolet and put in a Hendrick engine. The truck will be entered into the Jeff Foxworthy Grit Chips 200 by Ballew, but prepared and crewed by Phoenix Racing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m helping Billy out a little,&#8221; confirmed Finch today. &#8220;He&#8217;s going to field the truck, and I&#8217;m helping him out by loaning him a pit crew and a driver.&#8221; &#8220;We haven&#8217;t announced anything yet,&#8221; said Ballew, &#8220;but I&#8217;m about 99% sure it&#8217;s going to happen. I&#8217;ll know for sure by Monday, but I&#8217;m confident enough that we already sent the entry in to NASCAR.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kurt Busch made his 2012 season debut in the CWTS at Michigan International Speedway driving the Kyle Busch Motorsports No.18 truck.
