Kurt Busch set the fast time in the first qualifying session since NASCAR’s return to the track. In qualifying for Sunday’s running of the Coca-Cola 600, Busch ran a lap of 181.269 mph to claim the pole ahead of Jimmie Johnson.<\/p>\n

This is Busch’s 28th career pole but his first at Charlotte Motor Speedway.<\/p>\n

Two drivers had issues in qualifying with Matt DiBenedetto hitting the wall in turn four forcing him to a backup car and Aric Almirola who spun but did not appear to damage his car in turn four.<\/p>\n

FOX will have coverage of the race starting at 6:00 pm ET with the green flag set for 6:28 pm ET. PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will have the radio call.<\/p>\n
