(Photo by Nigel Kinrade \/ NKP \/ LAT Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On Friday, NASCAR released a statement regarding the scheduled races at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.<\/p>\n<p>The races were scheduled to be held in front of empty stands but NASCAR has now changed course and opted to postpone the races due to COVID-19, the coronavirus.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>\u201cNASCAR has decided to postpone the race events at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend and Homestead-Miami Speedway next weekend. We believe this decision is in the best interest of the safety and well-being of our fans, competitors, officials and everyone associated with our sport.
