It\u2019s a fun track, and it\u2019s fast.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Menard said a lot this weekend depends on how the tire compound chosen by Goodyear reacts as well as how the new aero package affects the cars.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHopefully it leads to the groove widening out,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Fans have sometimes compared Dover to a conveyor belt but Menard likens it to Bristol.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first 200 laps seem like they take forever, and then the second 200 go by really quickly,\u201d he said, adding that the Dover races feel like some of the hottest ones of the year. \u201cYou\u2019re working so hard inside the car, and there\u2019s not a lot of airflow because the track is like a soup bowl.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paul Menard is looking forward to the 1-mile concrete monster known as Dover International Speedway.
