Kurt Busch put down the fastest lap in Friday’s first practice for the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.<\/p>\n

Busch was followed by David Ragan, Erik Jones, Michael McDowell and Chase Elliott.<\/p>\n

All 37 cars which are entered into the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race for Sunday took laps.\u00a0 Elliott ran the most laps at 37 with Jeffrey Earnhardt making just three.<\/p>\n
