Those hoping to see Matt Kenseth race again are in luck. The 2003 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion and seven time winner of the Slinger Super Late Model race at Slinger Super Speedway in Slinger, Wisconsin, on July 9.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t think of a better place for me to get back in a race car than Slinger,\u201d Kenseth said. \u201cIt\u2019s been a good track for me throughout my career. We\u2019ve had a lot of success there, a lot of memorable moments, and I\u2019m looking forward to going back.”<\/p>\n

“The Nationals have always been one of the major events in all of short track racing. Certainly it was the one you wanted to win growing up in Wisconsin. Throughout the years, a lot of big names in NASCAR have raced in the Nationals. That\u2019s a testament to how big of a race this has been for some time.” <\/p>\n

Kenseth won this event for the first time in 1994. He would later return for one-off races winning in ’02, \u201906, \u201908, \u201909, \u201912 and \u201916.<\/p>\n
