Ten years ago it would have been a surprise to not see a beer sponsored car in NASCAR’s biggest race. Fast forward to 2018 and we are at that point. Not a single car in the Daytona 500 will be sponsored by a beer company.<\/p>\n

No Budweiser, No Busch, No Miller. Not a beer to be had. Sure, there are still cars and drivers who will race beer sponsored cars later this year but not at Daytona.<\/p>\n

Brad Keselowski’s No. 2 will be sponsored by Discount Tire while Kevin Harvick’s No. 4 will be painted up with another sponsor’s scheme in Jimmy John’s.<\/p>\n

Miller cut back to just 11 races on Keselowski’s Penske powered Ford and Busch will be on Harvick’s car for just a fraction of the events this season.<\/p>\n

It has been a slow dying of beer on cars at Daytona. Keselowski drove the only beer car the last two years with Miller Lite on board. Back in 2015 Harvick drove a Budweiser sponsored car opposite of Keselowski’s Miller.<\/p>\n

The last time there were three beer cars in a Daytona 500 was back in 2007 when David Stremme drove the Coors Light Car, Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove the Budweiser car and Kurt Busch drove the Miller Lite machine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
