\nIt is safe to say former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Rusty Wallace is not a fried of Keith Olbermann.<\/p>\n
During a Friday appearance on Phoenix’s Fox Sports 910 AM, Wallace held nothing back in attacking Olbermann’s views on NASCAR.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t pay any attention to Olbermann. He doesn\u2019t know anything about our sport,\u201d Wallace said. \u201cOur sport\u2019s the most popular form of motorsport in the world. There\u2019s no doubt about that, you can\u2019t argue it. You get in a car, you run 200 mph sweating your brains out. You lose anywhere between 10 to 12 pounds in a race \u2013 that\u2019s what I used to do \u2013 I mean it\u2019s physical.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re not trying to say we\u2019re stick and ball guys, by all means. But to try and belittle the drivers and say it\u2019s not tough or something is not correct. Because every NFL guy or any basketball player, anybody like that, they\u2019re in shock and awe when it comes to NASCAR and what it takes to run these cars in the Daytona 500 or Bristol or anywhere \u2013 two inches apart, running 200 mph, for 500 miles, three and a half hours.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey don\u2019t talk any crap on it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Wallace did not stop there. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019d love to have Olbermann in a car one time and run his ass around the track and see what he says then,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
There was some more talk which led Wallace to say, \u201cHe can kiss my ass, too, how\u2019s that?\u201d<\/p>\n
