Jeff Gordon won a week ago at Dover. On Friday the driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet SS was again at the front of the field setting the fastest time in opening practice at Kansas Speedway.<\/p>\n

Gordon paced the field at 196.257 miles per hour at the 1.5-mile track which will be the opening race for the second round of the NASCAR Chase.<\/p>\n
