Gordon, who runs his own team, will have to turn a fast lap in qualifying since he is not locked into the top-35 in owner points. There have also been no details on who Gordon plans to draft with as the Facebook page says they will wait to see who makes the field.<\/p>\n<p>The best finish for Gordon on the season was a 16th place run at Daytona. Earlier in the year he ran 20th at Talladega.<\/p>\n<p>Gordon last ran a full race at Watkins Glen which was 9 races ago. Since then he has shared the seat of the #7 in start and park efforts. The team plans to run the full race at Texas in November.
