Earnhardt Jr. is an 11-time winner of NASCAR&#8217;s most popular driver award and on Sunday he will driving a blue car with Superman on it as he looks to win the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday Earnhardt Jr. met with reporters at Charlotte to talk about his car and superheros.<\/p>\n<p>Asked which one of Superman&#8217;s powers he would like to have, Earnhardt replied strength.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Super-human strength would be the best one to have, I think,&#8221; Earnhardt Jr. said. &#8220;Being able to pick stuff up and throw it across the yard would be fun. You can impress your friends and show off for the ladies.<\/p>\n<p><script src=\"http:\/\/www.avantlink.com\/product_ad_widget\/paw.php?pawid=87735&amp;pw=157431&amp;output=js\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>So what would Earnhardt Jr. do with his new found strength?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh, I don\u2019t know. Maybe me and my friends may just go to the junkyard and toss some cars around, because that would be harmless, right?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It would also help control a car going speeds of 200-mph.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13347\" src=\"http:\/\/tireball.com\/nascar\/files\/2014\/05\/jrsuperman1.jpg\" alt=\"jrsuperman1\" width=\"638\" height=\"425\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tireball.com\/nascar\/files\/2014\/05\/jrsuperman1.jpg 638w, http:\/\/tireball.com\/nascar\/files\/2014\/05\/jrsuperman1-594x395.jpg 594w, http:\/\/tireball.com\/nascar\/files\/2014\/05\/jrsuperman1-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 638px) 100vw, 638px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While Earnhardt Jr. said the car looked nice, he is already focusing on how it will run in the 600 mile race on Sunday &#8211; the longest on the Cup Series schedule.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just want to win a points race here so bad because we live right down the road here,\u201d Earnhardt said. \u201cI\u2019ve been coming here since I was a little kid. I remember sitting up in the press box watching qualifying for the \u201983 race and that was probably one of my first memories of going to a Cup event. Then once they built those condos over there in 1 and 2, we never missed a race.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026 We just always came here, and it\u2019s frustrating that I haven\u2019t won a race here other than the all-star event. We\u2019ve had some good cars, but not nowhere near good enough. \u2026 Hopefully we can change that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earnhardt has made 28 career starts at Charloote recording five top-fives and 11 finishes inside the top-ten.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In terms of popularity Dale Earnhardt Jr. may be Superman when it come to NASCAR.
