Bolin previously served as a crew chief and team engineer for RFR.<\/p>\n<p>In 2001, Bolin became the No. 17 team engineer and was a part of the team for Matt Kenseth&#8217;s 2003 Sprint Cup championship season. He later became Kenseth&#8217;s crew chief in 2007 when Robbie Reiser was named general manager of RFR.<\/p>\n<p>With Bolin gone and the futures of Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle uncertain RFR could look a lot different going forward.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Roush Fenway Racing has parted ways with long-time engineer Chip Bolin.
