Instead Mayfield will be placed on unsupervised probation for 18 months. He also was ordered to pay more than $88,000 in restitution and $1,100 in fines and other costs.<\/p>\n<p>NASCAR suspended Mayfield in 2009 saying the driver twice tested positive for methamphetamine use. Mayfiled later appealed but NASCAR upheld his suspension.<\/p>\n<p>Later Mayfield was charged after a raid on his home produced stolen property. The driver and his wife was evicted from their home in November 2012.
