The move is hardly a surprise as the company had<br \/>\nstopped its full time sponsorship of the No. 6 car at the end of<br \/>\nthe 2012 season. They have appeared on the No. 99 of Carl Edwards<br \/>\nover the last two seasons but in a limited role. UPS has placed a<br \/>\nfocus on the sponsorship of college sports at the expense of<br \/>\nracing. NASCAR Chief Sales Officer Jim O&#8217;Connell in a statement<br \/>\nsaid, &#8220;UPS has been a fantastic partner to NASCAR over the last<br \/>\ndecade-and-a-half. As we celebrate its long and successful tenure,<br \/>\nwe also welcome seven new companies to the family of Official<br \/>\nNASCAR Partners.&#8221; UPS PR Dir Susan Rosenberg added in a statement,<br \/>\n&#8220;UPS has enjoyed tremendous success through its partnership with<br \/>\nNASCAR, including sponsorships at the league, team and track level.<br \/>\nThe business-to-business opportunities provided within NASCAR have<br \/>\nproven valuable to UPS and have helped achieve desired results and<br \/>\naccomplished the goals we set forth.
