Jeff Gordon won the pole for the Bank of America 500. The No. 24 of Gordon will lead a field of 43 to the green flag for Saturday nights race at the 1.5 mile Charlotte Motor Speedway.<\/p>\n

Joining Gordon on the front row will be Kevin Harvick.<\/p>\n

This is the fifth race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chase. After four races Matt Kenseth holds a three point lead over Jimmie Johnson. Kevin Harvick is 25 points back in third place.<\/p>\n

Kenseth will begin Saturday nights race from the 20th position while Johnson starts fourth. Harvick will start second with Jeff Gordon, 32 points back, starting on the pole. Kyle Busch who is 35 points out will start ninth.<\/p>\n

Saturday’s race will air on ABC at 7:30 pm ET. The green flag is set to wave at 7:46 pm ET for 334 laps around the 1.5-mile oval to make up 501 miles.<\/p>\n
