Kyle Busch wins first stage at Daytona

The first stage of the 61st running of the Daytona 500 ended with Kyle Busch at the front of the field.

William Byron began the race on the pole for the race with 60 laps making up the first of three segments. Two cautions would take place during the segment. The first was an incident involving the No. 32 of Corey LaJoie. Near the end of the segment Kurt Busch, Bubba Wallace and Jamie McMurray were all collected in the first crash of the race.
