Gray Gaulding returns to the seat of the No. 83 Toyota Camry fielded by BK Racing this weekend at Talladega according to a team released statement.

The statement reads “Gray Gaulding returns to BK Racing for multiple races beginning this weekend with the Alabama 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Gaulding will also race the #83 Toyota in the AAA Texas 500 on November 5 at Texas Motor Speedway.”

This will be Gaulding’s second start at Talladega.

Gaulding had been scheduled to drive 35 races for BK Racing this season but a deal between the driver and team fell though. To sum up the deal so everyone reading can understand in a sentence or two, Gaulding acting as GGR would bring sponsorship to BK Racing who would then pay him a salary. Somewhere the deal got off course as BK Racing alleged that Gaulding was either late or not making payments. He ended up being removed from the car and the two traded some barbs about their deal.

“We still have a decent relationship, and Ron’s a good guy,” Gray Gaulding said via Frontstrech in August. “But the agreements we had, unfortunately, he didn’t live up to them and I went a few weeks without getting paid. If you look at their history, BK is known for that.”

It looks like the two sides have put some of that behind them in the meantime which will allow the 19-year-old to resume his stock car career at the top level.

“I’m really excited about partnering with Dustless Blasting and going back racing at Talladega (Superspeedway), we had a really good race back in May and I learned a lot about how to work the draft. I’m also going to race at Texas (Motor Speedway) for BK Racing, we have a new partner that we will be announcing soon!”
