Kyle Busch won the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series road course event of the year at Sonoma Raceway. The driver of the No. 18 M&M’s Toyota Camry turned left and right beating out his brother Kurt Busch to the checkered flag.
The race began with AJ Allmendinger on the pole but it was the other driver on the front row, Kurt Busch, who proved to have the car to beat early on. Jimmie Johnson would get to the front but was hung out to dry after a late race caution. Kyle Busch wuld get past him to take the lead and claim his first win of the year and bolster his chances at a chase spot. Busch is the 11th different winner this year.
